The girl student was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state. As per reports, the girl was not opening the door of the room in the hostel and later when the door of the room was broken, she was found unconscious.
Anika, a third-year LLB student, was the daughter of IPS officer Santosh Rastogi, who is currently serving as Inspector General at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Delhi.
She was found unconscious in her hostel room late last night, officials said. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her brought dead. The cause of her death remains unclear, and the Ashiyana Police have initiated an investigation.
